In 1970, Cleo worked as a servant with a bourgeois family in the Colonia Roma neighborhood of Mexico City. Originally from a small village in the south of the country, this woman of Mixtec origin is fully dedicated to her task and ensures that children do not miss anything. But one day, the balance of the household is upset by the father's escapade with a young woman, while pregnant Cleo is abandoned by the one she thought to be his lover. The mother of four and the maidservant will support each other to get through these difficult times.
