·Founder of Le Grand cirque Ordinairein the Autumn of 1969.

·Television roles: Louis Riel, Duplessis, Montréal ville ouverte,Scoop, Ces enfants d’ailleurs, L’Ombre de l’Épervier, Cauchemar d’amour, along with Quebecois “téléromans” (soap operas) Monsieur le Ministre, L’Agent fait le bonheur, Les Machos, and Rivière des Jérémies.

·Theatre roles: Salut Galarneau, Le fou et la nonne, La Mandragore, Florence, Qui a peurde Virginia Woolf?, Quatuor, Les Fourberies de Scapin and Dangereuse Obsession.

·Writer of: Un retour simple (1998), Le beau milieu(1999), Le maître d’hôtel(2000) and the book Théâtre chanté (2002) with it’s accompanying CD.

Throughout the course of his career, among a plethora of artistic accomplishments, Raymond Cloutier also fulfilled the role of teacher and educator, leading him to head up the Montreal Conservatoire D’Art Dramatique (Theatre Conservatory) between 1987 and 1995 and again from 2007 through to March 2012. Between 2004 and 2008, Cloutier hosted radio shows focused on art, culture and literature on Radio Canada’s Première Chaîne (Radio One’s French-language counterpart). Cloutier’s life has been a meandering path of undeniable and profound dedication to the performing arts. And on March 19th, 2012 a new role commences as Creative Director and Managing Director of Montreal’s renowned Théâtre Outremont.
